Events Coordinator
STEVE MWANGI
As the Event Coordinator for LDSKCF, my role centers around planning and executing a wide range of community events that meet the diverse needs and interests of our members. I work closely with our community to understand their preferences, ensuring that each event is not only engaging but also aligned with the group’s vision and values. Whether it’s securing venues, booking speakers, or coordinating the logistics, I make sure every detail is carefully thought through to create meaningful and memorable experiences for everyone involved.
Another key aspect of my role involves managing the practicalities of event planning, such as budgeting, time management, and ensuring that we adhere to financial constraints while still delivering high-quality events. I am responsible for coordinating with vendors, such as caterers and security services, ensuring that all necessary health and safety requirements are met. This includes confirming that caterers have up-to-date health and safety certificates and that security is in place where needed. Additionally, I perform risk assessments on all venues and make sure that appropriate insurance is secured for each event to ensure the safety and well-being of all participants
