Founder & Chairlady
SALLY KIMONDO
As the Chairlady and founder of LDSKCF, I am driven by a vision to unite Kenyans in the diaspora, regardless of age, sexuality, tribe, or gender. My passion is to create a space where all individuals feel supported and celebrated. I firmly believe in the power of community and the importance of empowering the next generation, especially youth. By fostering a platform that encourages growth, learning, and connection, my goal is to build a legacy that can be passed down through generations. Through LDSKCF, we aim to provide resources and opportunities that will allow young people to achieve their dreams and create a positive impact within their communities.
In my role, I collaborate closely with with volunteers, local authorities, members, and potential partners, inspiring them to actively contribute to our mission. I believe in bridging cohesion between professionals and families, and I’m committed to grassroots interventions that address the unique needs of our community.
Beyond my work with LDSKCF, I love swimming, watching documentaries, dancing, and traveling. Fashion is another passion of mine, and I enjoy expressing myself through style. I am fond of traditional Kenyan dishes - Amandazi, mukimo, sukuma wiki, mutura, nyama choma mbavu, and kachumbari. One of my guiding principles in life is: “One’s character needs to match one’s expectations.” I strive to live by this, both in my personal life and through the work I do with LDSKCF.
